This is a made to order set of 10 hammered solid red brass hair beads like those shown in the photo. They are meant for locs, dreadlocks, braids, or beards.

Each brass coil is painstakingly hammered and filed while leaving in place an elegant non-hammered center ring. These are very strong and are not designed to bend.

Though brass is a notoriously difficult material, I enjoy being able to work with this beautiful metal.

• Varied Length: ~14mm - 16mm
• Sample design hole diameters: 6mm

• Solid Red Brass

Both finish options will arrive polished.

The sealed option will experience a slight color warming, but as long as the jewelry is well cared for and the clear coat is not compromised, the metal will remain tarnish free and keep it's high polish.

The unfinished option is for those who wish for their brass to develop an earthy, natural look over time. Eventually, they will become more rustic and develop a look similar to bronze cabinet hardware or other everyday bronze toned items.

Generally speaking, I recommend day wear only for all my designs. Proper care of your jewelry will ensure it lasts for many years.
