This is a made to order set of 10 hammered solid brass dread spirals like those shown in the photo. Each cold forged coil is painstakingly hammered and filed at both ends while leaving in place an elegant non-hammered center ring. Though brass is a notoriously difficult material, I enjoy being able to work with this beautiful metal.
These will arrive polished, but are purposely designed with raw brass to achieve an earthy, natural look. These are meant to develop a natural tarnish and patina. The philosophy of Wabi-Sabi is very much embraced by the Heatherfish brand. Wabi-Sabi, in it's pure definition, is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. However, a pro-polish pad is included with should you wish to maintain the polished finish.
