Refund policy

Returns

Due to the custom nature of my work and due to health laws regarding jewelry and used hair accessories, I accept returns only on a case by case basis. I work very hard for 100% customer satisfaction. If you would like to return an item, please reach out to me via my contact page.

If your return has been approved, you will have 30 days from the approval date to return your item. If you send your approved return item/s back late, or after the 30 day time period has lapsed, it will be refused and marked "return to sender"

If you reach out to me after 30 days have lapsed from the time of your purchase, unfortunately I can’t offer you a refund or exchange. 

Items returned without contact or prior approval will also be rejected(marked "return to sender") due to health concerns and regulations governing the sale and return of used body jewelry, hair accessories, etc...

Unless other arrangements have been made, you(the buyer) will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item/s.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. When you receive the refund for your return, the original shipping fee will not be included.

If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a shipping service that uses tracking and shipping insurance. Heatherfish cannot be held responsible for lost returns. 

Your returned item/s must be unused and undamaged.

 

Refunds (If Applicable) 

Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

 

Late or Missing Refunds (If Applicable) 

If you have not received your refund after 5-7 business days from the time I notified you of your refund, please contact me at heather@heatherfish.com 

 

Additional Refund Information

In the event that the Post office has lost or damaged your package, please contact me immediately with photos so that I may give a refund or replace your item.

 

Incorrect Item/s

If there is an issue with your order, please do not hesitate to contact me. I'm very happy to help with any order issues, and while order mistakes are very rare for me, I am human. 

 

Made to Order(Custom) Items 

If you order the incorrect size, a return cannot be made. I make each custom item based on the buyer's indicated preferences. My items are 100% handmade and not machine manufactured. If you order the item, I do the work. It is the buyer's responsibility to order the size he/she/they require.

To avoid buying the wrong size, please thoroughly read the listing's size description and send specific communication regarding any special size requests. I offer custom sizing at no extra charge to assure every item is made according to my customer's specific preferences. For any doubts about sizing, you are welcome to contact me. I have resources that will help you measure your locs, dreadlocks, braids, or twists prior to placing your order.
