Every item for sale in my shop is an item handmade by me. I put a lot of work and time into my art and as a result each piece is carefully crafted and unique.
A good artist once said to me – “You die a little more every time you put something new into the world, because a small piece of you is in everything you make.”

For shipping within the USA, I ship your order via USPS.
The options available are:
USPS First-Class Mail (2-5 Business Days)
USPS Priority Mail (2-3 Business Days)
USPS Priority Express Mail (1-2 Business Days)
Free Priority Shipping for orders over $100 – This option will automatically appear in your cart if the sum of your items is over $100.
Please keep in mind that USPS estimates are not always perfect. During peek periods such as holidays, delays can and do happen.
I also ship to countries outside the U.S.A. via USPS First Class International. All items shipped out of the united states are subject to a customs hold, thus, in some cases they can take longer than two weeks to arrive. It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to be familiar with their country’s laws regarding taxes, import fees, and items of an organic nature… I cannot be held responsible for items held up in customs because the material is not allowed by your country.
I can guarantee that none of my items are made with illegal or immoral materials such as elephant ivory, etc… I strictly carve and design with humanely obtained, cruelty free, legal scrap materials. Each listing has a full description of the material used.
I refund shipping overages for all international orders as promptly as possible as they apply.
***Please note *** I cannot and will not falsify a customs form to help international buyers avoid taxes and fees. I am not legally allowed to ship items as a “gift”. Falsifying customs declaration forms in order to help a Buyer avoid these taxes and fees is against the law, and comes with a punishment of up to $10,000 USD with the possibility of up to 5 years of imprisonment.
If you are in the USA and you would like to purchase a gift for a friend or family member outside the USA and you don’t want them to have to pay customs fees, it is my recommendation that you have the item shipped to your residence first so that you may ship the item legally as a gift from your residence or local post office.
Regarding incorrect addresses:
Please note that I can only ship to the address provided to me by the buyer. If the address that has been provided is incorrect, and the package is lost due to this circumstance, no refund can be made.
If, however, the package is sent back, and the item is in it’s original undamaged condition, I will refund the cost of the order excluding the cost for shipping, or in the case of domestic shipping, I may be willing to consider re-shipping the order as a courtesy. This re-shipment option will be determined on a case-by case basis at the discretion of the seller.

Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the custom nature of my items, all orders are final with the exception of items damaged by the post office. ****Please contact me immediately with photos if the carrier has damaged your item in any way so that I may give a refund or replace your item. For any additional issues, please contact me. I work really hard for 100% customer satisfaction.
If I do give a refund for any exceptional reason other than mail carrier damage, fees for return shipping will not be included unless an alternative has been discussed. Buyer is responsible for paying any and all return shipping costs and a refund will be given once the item is received in good, or “as discussed” condition.
I can not accept returns for dreadlock beads or gauges that do not fit. It is the buyer’s responsibility to thoroughly read the listing’s size description and send specific communication regarding any special size requests. Please make sure you know the correct size of your dread or piercing prior to placing an order or requesting a special size. These are art items, completely handmade and unique, made to order. I cannot re-sell used beads do to laws and other restrictions regarding items that are worn in hair… this is why I offer custom sizing at no extra charge. Thank you for your understanding.

I do accept commissions or custom orders when time allows. Contact me for information about custom orders. Delivery time for custom orders will depend on the nature of the item(digital art, graphics, jewelry, etc…). Custom items will take a bit longer to make and your patience is much appreciated. As an artist, I very much enjoy making custom pieces for my clients and work hard to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

Do you offer gift wrapping and/or designed packaging?
I do indeed. All of my items come in a customized gift box with hand drawn art details.

My beads don’t fit my dreadlocks. Why can’t I return them?
While I would love to offer returns for beads that do not fit, there are restrictive laws that vary by state that do not allow me to re-sell used hair accessories. Many of these regulations stipulate that this includes anything applied to hair for any length of time. Thus, if I were to accept returns for every bead that did not fit, the items could not be re-sold and would go to waste.
I make each and every bead personally by hand, per order. This means my products are in fact custom items. Just like when a customer purchases a pair of gauges or a wedding band, it is the responsibility of that customer to know what size they require prior to purchase. This regulation is why I offer custom sizing for free.

Heather, why aren’t your beads adjustable?
I do not make adjustable dreadlock beads because I find that it compromises the strength and stability of the beads as well as the alignment of the design elements. This is another reason I offer custom sizing for no additional fee, as I want you to be able to enjoy your beads for a very, very long time.
While many of my wire designs will bend if forced, I would highly recommend against it. Wire will weaken severely over time with constant bending. To prevent this and to have, strong, long-lasting beads that you will be able to enjoy for a long time, it is best to measure your dreadlocks or braids prior to purchase so that you can order the size that will best work for you.
I love your metal beads, but how can I prevent/remove tarnish?
Although my brand focuses on the natural progression of nature, I understand if some of you are not partial to tarnish. Here are some solutions:

Non-tarnishing metal in my experience.
Always keep your bead or necklace in the bag I provide when you aren’t wearing it. In addition, I use Connoisserus Cleaner to clean silver. It is effective, affordable, and can be found at Wal-Mart.
Brass will tarnish over time. Although I have not tried it, several folks have told me that my copper tarnish removal method works for brass also.
I also provide tarnish removing pro-polish pads with select listings to help keep your beads tarnish free and gleaming.
Why is your processing time 3-5 days or longer!?
My processing time, on average, is marked 3-9 business days unless stated otherwise within the listing. I make every order myself, by hand, by the order in which it was received. I work well over 12 hours a day to assure I can get orders out as efficiently and quickly as possible.
I do rest on the weekends when I can for the sake of my hands.
Making handmade custom items takes time. Your patience is much appreciated and it will assure that I have an adequate amount of time to make you the best quality product possible. In addition, depending on my current work load, it is often frequent that I will be able to finish making your items quicker than the marked processing times state.
Art worth buying is art worth waiting for.
Do you offer rush shipping/processing?
I do indeed offer rush shipping/processing for most orders. The only exception would be for exceptionally large orders, some special requests(i.e bone carvings), and/or busy holiday seasons and other time periods where I may have a heavier than normal work load.

My bead is a little too big, or my stone bead is a bit heavy. How can I better secure it into my hair?
In case you accidentally order your bead a tad too big, I have a few solutions that will allow you to still wear and enjoy your beads:
1. Use a small rubber band that matches your hair color to slide the bead onto. You can find rubber bands like this at Sally’s beauty supply.
2. Fit them over two locs. Some of my customers order their beads larger on purpose for this reason… it makes for interesting styling opportunities.
3. Tie them in place with a small bit of sewing thread.
4. Slide them on your loc and then slide a tight bead on after it to hold it in place.
5. Some of my other customers have also used embroidery floss to wrap a portion in the back of the bead to make the fit tighter.. similar to how a ring spacer works.
Can I wear my Dread Beads in the shower?
Technically… yes… However, to preserve the color, shine, qualities and finishes of the various elements of my beads, and to make sure you can enjoy them for years to come, I do not recommend showering with them in unless otherwise stated in the listing.
Just like with any other jewelry, exposure to water, soaps, and aggressive force (i.e. scrubbing your hair) can dull out the elements, break down the connections, and cause tarnish over time.
